Theme: I Will Change the World By...

Get your student’s creative juices flowing for this year’s Reflections competition.
The theme is: I Will Change the World By…

What is Reflections? A national arts competition offered through the LWHS PTSA.  Students enter a piece of art that goes through a judging process at the high school level with the potential to advance to the Council, State and National levels. More detail information, please check the following link: https://wastatepta.org/events-programs/reflections/

What are the Art Categories? Visual Arts (2D only), Music Composition, Photography, Literature, Film Production and Dance Choreography.  There is also a Special Artist Division (for students with disabilities).

Who can participate? Any student attending LWHS, or any student attending a choice school or online school whose home school is LWHS.

How to get started? Review the rules for the art category and the Checklist for Success.  Reflect on the theme. Create a piece of art.  Submit your art work along with a completed Student Entry Form (a fillable PDF).  Note: signatures are not required on the Entry Form, just fill out names.

What's new this year? Students will be submitting entries online: Visual Arts & Photography (JPG/JPEG/PNG format); Literature (PDF format); Dance & Film (MP4 and AVI format); Entry Forms (fillable PDF).  Upload location TBD.  Our Reflections Chair, Rachel Pai, will provide help to any students who is deterred by submitting online.

When is the deadline? Monday, November 1st 11:59 PM.

Theme Search Contest:  National PTA seeks a theme for the Reflections program.  This year students are asked to submit a theme for the 2023-2024 program year.
