Volunteering with the PTSA is a great way  to support your students’ school, stay involved in their education and connect with new people that can help guide you through the high school years and  often become new friends! Whether you have an incoming freshman or your student will graduate soon, we would love to help you find a way to become involved. Our programs support staff, students and the community at large.

Interested in supporting parents, how about helping with; Parent Education Programming, Family & Community Engagement Activities, New Family Welcome Event, Special Needs Liaison.

Interested in supporting students? How about helping with; College Application Workshops, Senior Salute or Senior Party, Student Recognition, Reflections Art Competition.

Interested in supporting teachers & staff? How about helping with; Staff Appreciation Events, Grants, Awards Committee.

Interested in supporting the broader community? How about; Advocacy, School Beautification, Sustainability initiatives, Communications.

This is just a sampling of what we do. We also need leaders to oversee and support all of our programming. Please consider an officer role if you can dedicate a bit more time. Our volunteer jobs are flexible and can often work around your schedule. See the document HERE for more opportunities and descriptions of roles and committees. Email nomcom@lwhsptsa.org if you are interested in learning more.

Email volunteer@lwhsptsa.org to be added to the list to receive information about one-time volunteer needs.

No time to volunteer? Your membership still supports our local, state and national organization and sends a message that you care about education. Join HERE or at the link found on our website.
