The Reflections Art Contest is a National PTA program that encourages students to explore their creativity via various artistic mediums. The theme for the 2023-24 contest is “I am Hopeful Because…” The program is open to any student who attends a school with a PTA/PTSA in good standing. Reflections is administered on the local level, so you will hear more details about due dates and submission policies from the LWHS PTSA early in the 2023-24 school year. Submissions are generally due in mid-autumn.

The WSPTA Essay Contest encourages students to reflect on an individual – a parent, family member, teacher, mentor, etc. – who has had a positive influence on their life’s journey. There are five different grade divisions ranging from pre-school to high school, as well as divisions for Special Authors. The submission window will open in the fall and the due date for essays will be February 15, 2024. For more information, click here.

The WSPTA Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors who attend a high school with an active PTA/PTSA. The application, which includes an essay question, focuses on the student’s volunteer activities and the impact they have in their community. WSPTA will award $2,500 scholarships to four winners to be selected in spring 2024.
