PASS THE POUCH IS HERE!

 

This isn’t just another fundraiser—it’s THE fundraiser for Lake Washington High School PTSA!
 
Pass the Pouch helps fund the programs and opportunities that make a difference for our Kangs, from student clubs, enrichment and scholarships to classroom grants, staff appreciation and community events. Last year, LWHS PTSA provided more than $48,000 in grants to support students, classrooms, clubs, staff, and programs throughout LWHS, and that’s only part of what PTSA funding makes possible.
 
Our suggested annual donation is $100 per student, but every gift—large or small—helps us continue investing in our Kangs. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), this one campaign helps power our work throughout the year.

College Essay Workshops

College Essay Workshop Begins Sept 15

What do we do?  

Trained volunteer coaches help students with college essays and personal statements at any stage, from brainstorming to final read-through. We offer one-on-one support virtually, in-person and via email, and connect students with other resources when needed. 

 

How we do it:

We offer several options to meet students where they are:

  • Virtual: One-on-one, 30-minute sessions over Zoom
  • In-Person: Where available, students meet with coaches at school for 30-minute sessions. 
  • CEW Offline: Coaching support via email with a 48-hour turnaround

This program is offered at no cost to students or families, thanks to support from Lake Washington PTSA Council and Lake Washington Schools Foundation.

We are especially looking for a volunteer or team to lead our Staff Appreciation Committee, one of the most meaningful ways we support and celebrate the incredible staff who make LWHS such a special community. The good news is much of the groundwork is already done: staff appreciation dates and themes are set for the year, and templates for soliciting donations and recruiting volunteers are ready to go! All we need is someone to bring these plans to life and help our staff feel valued and appreciated. Whether you're passionate about building community, enjoy organizing events, or simply want to give back to the people who support our students every day, we'd love to have you on board.
